May 2025
Smithfield Preserve Rock Art Survey
Lundwall and McHugh visit a close-by rock art site, the Smithfield Preserve, near Utah Lake. The site shows rock art from Archaic to Historic periods. There is a stone structure that has not been recorded in the field notes. This structure will be found, pinned, and surveyed.

June 2025
Ashley Creek Rock Art Survey
Dr. Lundwall joins URARA and BLM archeologists David Christiansen to photograph and survey a rock art site in Ashley Creek in the Uintah Basin. The site has interesting features. Lundwall will be photographing each panel using IR and UV filters as well.

June & September 2025
Solstice & Equinox Survey
Fremont Indian State Park
Dr. Lundwall will be at the Park filming a new panel that his model predicts will have a solar interaction on the days of equinox. Lundwall and McHugh's work is being developed into a Field Guide written for the Park. Several features show that the Fremont cosmicized the canyon with specific rock art placement and orientations.

September 25-27, 2025
Fan X 2025, SLC Comic Convention
Join Dr. Lundwall as he moderates pop-culture and science panels at this year's Fan X 2025 Convention. He will help represent UVAC and will discuss the science of exoplantes, the oddities of our solar system, and pop-culture references to the science and the unknown. The conference is held at the Salt Palace Convention Center, downtown Salt Lake City.

October 11-12, 2025
Utah Rock Art Research Association Symposium
Dr. Lundwall will be giving a presentation at this year's URARA Symposium being held at the Kanab Convention Center, 20 N. 100 E., Kanab, Utah. His presentation will discuss oral and literate frameworks of thought and seeing rock art through the lens of oral epistemology.

Sun Writing: A Field Guide to the Cultural Astronomy of Fremont Indian State Park
Dr. Lundwall and research partner John McHugh are writing a Field Guide for the rock art at Fremont Indian State Park. The Guide will be filled with illustrations and diagrams and will help the visitor find and put into context the images from the ancient Fremont.
